Responsibilities: Provide safe, secure transportation of juveniles to and from the Juvenile Detention Center. Scheduled on-call 24 hours/day for four days and then off for two consecutive 24-hour periods. Incumbent may be paged on off days in extraordinary circumstances. Incumbent will encounter hostile juveniles and be subjected to verbal abuse.

Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Illinois driver’s license. Additionally, the individual needs to exercise independent judgment in that they will often be in remote locations while transporting juveniles. Maintain confidentiality of all information pertaining to the detainee. Must participate in training (as scheduled and available) in First Aid, CPR, Physical Restraint, Mechanical Rest

Hourly Rate: $13.09
