This course in particular will be beneficial for students enrolled in Professor Graff's Criminal Justice Internship course and it will be most beneficial for and is geared towards those students as well as other Public Service students wanting to train in preparation for the entry level Physical Agility tests necessary for Public Service careers as well as individuals who may want to experience a facilitated cross training regimen similar to those practiced by may in service Public Service employees.

The course is taught by ICC Public Services faculty member, Professor Tom Higgins.  Currently assisting Tom Lacher coaching basketball at Peoria Notre Dame, Professor Higgins has coached basketball at all levels, including here at Illinois Central College.  When coaching here at ICC he developed and taught similar courses and he trained athletes for various college sports in addition to basketball.  In addition to prescribed workouts twice a week at the designated location and time, students will be exposed to training advice and tips from various guest speakers from the Criminal Justice, Physical Fitness and Nutrition and Health fields.

Students will need a jump rope, a good pair of running or cross training shoes, a bottle of water, a willingness to work and reap and enjoy your rewards from doing so.
