Please mark your calendars for Tuesday, February 13, 2018, and plan to
attend our monthly meeting. The meeting will be held at Illinois Central
College – North Campus, 5407 N. University Street, Peoria. It will take place
in Poplar Hall 130.
Sandwiches will begin at 5:30 pm, provided by ICC, with our speaker
presenting at 6:00 pm.
Our featured speaker is Todd Brannon. Todd serves as
Corporate Counsel in the Mergers & Acquisitions group of Caterpillar
Inc. He has been a commercial attorney for over ten years, having
practiced at Caterpillar for the past five years and at a regional corporate
law firm in Dayton, Ohio prior to that time. Before attending law school,
he was a Certified Public Accountant working as an auditor for Deloitte.
He holds a JD degree from the University of Dayton as well as a Masters of
Accountancy and B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Miami University (Oxford,
Todd will be discussing issues in attorney-client privilege from a corporate
perspective. He will address key issues that should be considered when
determining whether an attorney-client communication is protected by privilege
and other practical considerations to be aware of when interacting with
