Research Assistant/Student Producer for Law Podcast

Professor Higgins is looking for 2 Illinois Central College students familiar with finding legal news and doing basic legal research in Nexis-Uni and other libary resources to serve as research assistants and content producers for regular law-related podast.  This podcast will present news related to new legal developments and promote or discuss developments, trends, issues and opportunities in law and justice, including the careers supported by our ICC programs.  It is anticipated that these podcasts would be published on the first Friday of each month, with Special Report podcasts as news or current events dictates.

Ideal candidates would be diligent, detail-oriented and have a history of meeting deadlines. While unpaid, the students would be acknowledged as contributors to the podcast, promoted as such, and be invited to participate as guests on some episodes.  

1 position will focus on Criminal Law, Procedure and Evidence

1 position will focus on areas of Civil Law, with a focus on Family law, Probate, Business Organizations and Administrative law.

The time commitment is anticipated to be no more than 5 hours per week.
